HotelSingapore has a lot to offer whether it is your first or umpteenth time here. The city-state is full of interesting sites that cater to sports enthusiasts, art lovers, shoppers and accidental tourists. We have created one, three and five-day itineraries that will guide you through some of the main attractions. The guide serves as a suggestion, so feel free to mix it up.

One (1) Day Itinerary | Three (3) Day Itinerary | Five (5) Day Itinerary

Five (5) Day Itinerary

Day 1:
Hop on a tourist bus that takes you around the city to get a quick overview of the main commercial and civic centres. Good places to explore on foot include the Chinatown, Arab Street and Little India districts. Choose one of the ethnic villages to spend the evening unwinding over delicious food and drinks.

Day 2:
Spend the day getting to know Singapore’s history. Take a walking tour around the Civic District and view colonial icons. The beautifully restored National Museum of Singapore is also a great place to learn more about Singapore’s history. In the late afternoon, take a ride down the Singapore River. One of the best places to wind down is Robertson Quay, a peaceful neigbourhood with a collection of restaurants situated along the river.

After soaking in the art and history of Singapore, head to Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort for a few hours of indulgence. Arguable one of the most remarkable architectural projects in the city, the Integrated Resort houses a shopping mall, casino, two theatres, a museum and a SkyPark. For gourmands, there are superb food choices at the six celebrity chef restaurants.

Day 3:
Head to the outskirts of the city to discover the country’s Arcadian offerings. The Southern Ridges trail stretches over 9km from Mount Faber to Kent Ridge Park, and offers some of the best views of the local landscape. En route, you will encounter the majestic Henerson Waves, built more than 36km above ground, and other hidden gems like Labrador Park and Alexandra Bridge. In the evening, make your way to the Night Safari to view some of the world’s most intriguing nocturnal animals up close.

Day 4:
Spend the day shopping at Singapore’s famous commercial belt. Orchard Road is home to the city’s best mall where you can find everything from the latest designer goods to one-of-a-kind souvenirs. Start from Tanglin Mall and work your way down to the new malls clustered around Somerset MRT Station. More shopping finds can be uncovered at Bugis Village, located just opposite the Bugis MRT station. The market is lined with small shops selling affordable apparels and accessories that make great souvenirs. If you are looking to take home the latest tech toys, the nearby Sim Lim Square is the place to go.

Day 5:
Round off your trip on a leisurely note with a visit to Sentosa. Explore the new Resorts World Sentosa and Universal Studios Singapore or spend a relaxing day at the island’s beaches. If you choose the latter, you can treat the family to the Sentosa Luge and Skyride, a hybrid of go-karting and tobogganing. End your trip to Singapore on a high note with Songs of the Sea, an award-winning waterworks showcase.
